    Big O

    Big O

"This place, Paradigm City, is a town of forgetfulness..."

Paradigm City is a very confused place. Its people seem sometimes bereft, while others seem to manage just fine. It might look like a relatively normal metropolis on the surface, but upon digging deeper, we see the city's convoluted past...

...or, to put it more bluntly, its complete and utter lack of a past.

A strange happening known as The Event occured 40 years ago, and no one seems to recall much about it, or anything else. The Event caused everyone in the city to lose all memories they had gathered prior to that time, and people were left to rebuild their lives from scratch.

"...but humans are adaptable creatures. They make do, and go on with life."

As a result of The Event, modern technologies became mysteries that no one understood. Those who were lucky were able to re-learn common technologies without much trouble. A select few others could remember enough to build and create strange technologies themselves.

"My name is Roger Smith. I perform a much-needed service in this city of amnesia."

Roger Smith is known as the city's best negotiator, and that's a well-earned reputation. He's good at what he does. But, Roger has a special advantage that few other peacemakers and crime fighters do: he has the ability to pilot a giant mechanized robot, known as a Megadeus.

That Megadeus is called Big O.

Special Thanks to: Sarah Giffrow from The negotiator for the information.
