![]() Hunter X HunterIn a world different from where we live, there are people called 'Hunters'. A 'Hunter' is a career or title. In order to be a hunter, candidates need to go through many tests. One in ten thousand people who take part in the test will actually become a Hunter. That is the slim chance you get. Once you're a hunter, you can get into almost all the restricted places and any countries, plus you can use lots of facilities for free. Hunters can get into any sort of jobs and can become very rich because they have to be both intelligent and physically strong by doing so. Gon is a 12-year-old who wish to become a 'hunter'. However, it's not the money that he wants. He wants to be a hunter because his father was one. But his father left him when he was still an infant and Gon never had the chance to meet him. By being one of the Hunter, he hopes he can get to see his father. Despite his aunt's opposition, Gon aboard the ship to the hunter test. There he make friends with a couple of other people who are also on the quest of becoming a Hunter. Kurapica, a boy a little older than Gon wish to be a hunter in order to seek revenge for the people who killed his entire clan. The other person is Leorio. He is a guy who aboard the same ship as Gon and Kurapica. He is a pretty down-to-earth guy. At the beginning, he was a jerk to start with, but later we find out he's actually a good-hearted person. After a few tests, the three got to the actual 'hunter test' venue. There they meet Killua, who later we get to know he comes from a famous assassin family. Killua is smart and skilled; he is the same age as Gon. Hunter x Hunter has a well-constructed plot and very interesting storyline. Although there are low level of violence in the manga, it is generally suitable for all age groups.
