Lensman
A dying lensman tranfers his lens to a young boy named Kim. The lens has vital information that he has to get to Admiral Haynes of the Galactic Patrol. The evil Boskone must see that Kim never gets to him. Lensman, the anime, is based on Doc E. Smith's sci-fi novels. The japanese animation (SF Shinseiki Lensman) was made in 1984. After the movie followed a 25 episode tv series (84-85). Streamline Pictures dubbed the movie in english in 1991. The Sci-Fi channel aired the movie pretty often in the mid 90s.
